Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Tybee MLK Human Rights is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organzation, that was founded by Julia and Mallory Pearce in 2013, representing a community entity. The purpose of TybeeMLK is to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday. We continue to carry on Dr.King’s philosophy of love and justice by means of nonviolent community activism. We are a beacon for justice, unity, equality and peace throughout communities. Tybee MLK strives in putting events together sharing history of Tybee Island by giving honor to the stories of our ancestors that came before us, as in Lazaretto Day, Juneteenth, MLK Day, Indigenous Day and UMoja. Bringing all walks of life together as one beloved community in the world.
Celebrating the first day of Kwanzaa, UMoja at the North Beach Bar and Grill. Featuring Lillian Grant-baptiste on the left and Julia Pearce on the right.
